What should I expect with a Shop Houzz shipment and delivery?Updated 7 days ago

Shop Houzz partners with different carriers for deliveries. Please reference the sections below for an overview on what to expect depending on your delivery type. 

Standard:

  • Order will be shipped via various carriers, for example FedEx, UPS, DHL, USPS. Your order will be left at your doorstep if signature is not required. 

  • Expedited shipping is only available when shown in the cart.

Freight:

Shipping oversized items often requires a specialized carrier service. Due to the size and weight of these items, freight shipments typically take longer than Standard ones. The use of a freight carrier is to ensure that your item is handled as safely and securely as possible as it makes its way to you! Please continue reading to find out more details on what to expect with a freight delivery.

Steps for receiving your freight shipment:

  1. Choose the delivery method while in your cart (see options below). Note: you cannot change your service level after your order has been placed.

  2. You’ll receive a shipping confirmation email once your order has been picked up by the carrier. 

  3. Your order will then be delivered to the local hub which may take between 1-3 weeks. If you choose an option that requires a signature, the delivery company will call to schedule a 4 hour window for your delivery appointment. Appointments are not required for Curbside (Contactless) deliveries.

  4. During delivery, carefully inspect your shipment before you sign for it (even if you don’t plan to use it in the near future!). Note any issues with the product or packaging when you sign for the delivery. If the carrier uses a mobile device there will be a section to notate issues. Inspect your product and report any concerns to Shop Houzz within the return policy window.

    1. Note: If you are waiting to use your purchase for later (for home improvement, renovations, etc.), it’s important to inspect your order and contact Shop Houzz with any concerns within policy.

Some products will have the following delivery options:

  • Curbside (Contactless): Item(s) will be delivered to your driveway, or garage (under cover if possible). No delivery appointment or customer presence is required.

  • Curbside (Signature Required): Item(s) will be delivered to your sidewalk, driveway, or garage. You will be responsible for the transport of the items beyond that point into your home. The driver is not responsible for bringing the shipment into your home.

  • Threshold: Deliveries will be protected from the weather by placing them inside the closest dry area (porch, garage or inside the closest door of the dwelling; a lobby or entryway if you live in a high-rise building).

  • Room of Choice: Item(s) will be delivered to the room or outside area of your choice. If your item will be going to an upper floor of your home, please ensure the product can be moved through your doorway(s), stairway(s), and/or hallway(s) prior to checkout.

    • Please note you will be responsible for any unpacking, assembly, and trash/debris removal.

  • White Glove: Item(s) will be delivered to your room or outdoor area of choice, including unpacking, product setup, light assembly* and full packaging removal.
    *White glove is limited to 30 minutes of onsite service. Products requiring power tools or extensive assembly times are not covered by this service. 

Please note: Unless you choose the Curbside (Contactless) shipping option, the shipping carrier will contact you to schedule a 4-hour delivery window after your order has shipped. Be sure to provide your best daytime phone number when checking out, this is the number the carrier will use to contact you with updates and to schedule your appointment.
